Using drawing as his main media, Cesar Brun is currently building up a visual folklore that wish to offer alternatives for the forthcoming collapse. With mundane office tools gathered along the years (various pens, pencils, papers, and so on) he developed a practice akin to permaculture and free open source software, which combine resilience, simplicity and adaptiveness as their core qualities. Coming from vernacular representation of the Buddhism hell to the dislocated perspective of middle- age paintings, there is an attempt to present universals forms of spirit-made visions into an open ended narrative in his works. Therefore, a fantasy world can be seen on paper and other surfaces.
